Created by the Elemental Sovereign of the Air to defend the skies of Arr-Kelaan against those who would do it harm, WindMasters are powerful avatars. A WindMaster resembles a huge eagle with gleaming golden feathers. The beak and talons of a ForestMaster shine with the mirror-bright luster of mithril. The eyes of a WindMaster resemble crystal orbs filled with a cloudy blue sky.

Combat: WindMasters rarely engage in physical combat, preferring instead to use their magical abilities. WindMasters cast wizard and priest spells at the 18th level. If forced into combat, they will attack with their steel-shod talons and their hooked beak. Additionally, a WindMaster can initiate combat with a dive of 200'-300', gaining +2 to hit and doing double talon damage. If the WindMaster dives, it cannot attack with its beak.
WindMasters can also summon 12HD Air Elementals, one every three rounds, to aid them if necessary. These Elementals are completely loyal to the WindMaster and cannot be persuaded to attack their summoner. Likewise, WindMasters can summon aerial creatures as if simultaneously using all of the Monster Summoning spells, once every three rounds. WindMasters can only summon creatures native to the skies of Arr-Kelaan and extra-planar beings will not respond to the summons.

Habitat/Society: WindMasters are solitary creatures who soar upon the high winds of Arr-Kelaan, seeking to protect the Air from those who would do it harm. They can sometimes be found in the presence of 1d6 giant eagles or with Aarakocra.

Ecology: WindMasters are carnivores who descend from the skies to hunt the large herd animals of the plains. They do not raid domestic stock, and would never attack an intelligent creature for food.
