Created by the Elemental Sovereign of the Fire to protect his realm of Arr-Kelaan against those who would do it harm, FlameMasters are powerful avatars. A FlameMaster resembles a huge humanoid made from glowing coals, clad in red-glowing plate armor. Tiny wisps of flame continually flicker across the creatures' body and armor. The eyes of a FlameMaster resemble white hot coals.

Combat: FlameMasters are more eager for combat than their elemental brethren, often sent by Arrikol Enn-Pyros to wreak vengeance upon those who would seek to harm, or put to ill use, the Flame. Although they have the spell casting abilities of both a 12th level mage and a 12th level priest (with no restrictions to school or sphere), they prefer to use their stony fists and cone-shaped blasts of pure elemental Fire (five feet wide and 25 feet long, doing 8d6 damage, save vs. Breath Weapon for half damage). Merely standing within 10' of a FlameMaster does 1d4 points of fire damage to unprotected creatures; likewise, flammable material must save or ignite.
FlameMasters can also summon 12HD Fire Elementals, one every three rounds, to aid them if necessary. These Elementals are completely loyal to the FlameMaster and cannot be persuaded to attack their summoner.

Habitat/Society: FlameMasters are solitary creatures who rarely leave their volcanic homes except at the behest of their sovereign. They only tolerate the presence of creatures able to withstand their great heat and can often be found with magmen or salamanders.

Ecology: FlameMasters have no need for sustenance, bathing in hot magma satisfies all of their 'nutritional' requirements.
