PoisonGliders are large insect-like creatures who inhabit the open plains. They resemble four-limbed grasshoppers with a reptilian head. The creatures tend to be dark green with black stripes and black undersides. A long, slender horn protrudes forward from the creatures head.
PoisonGliders are swift and tireless runners. They use their long, grasshopper-like legs to propel them along and increase their maneuverability with their long, almost bird-like tail. Their forearms end in three small sharp talons. When running, PoisonGliders lay their bodies flat, head pointed straight forward, balanced on the fulcrum of their legs like many small, fast hunting dinosaurs.

Combat: When attacking, the PoisonGlider claws with its talons and stabs with its horn. The horn injects a powerful poison; a save at -2 results in d10 points of damage, failure to save means painful convulsing death in d4 turns. They are immune to their own poison, and gain a +4 to saves against other poisons.

Habitat/Society: PoisonGliders live in family groups, in burrows which they dig into low hills. Each family group maintains a territory of a few square miles which they defend against any intrusion by other carnivores and settlers.

Ecology: PoisonGliders are strict carnivores and hunt all sorts of game, preferring large herd animals such as buffalo or cattle. However, they are known to prey on domestic animals or even humans. It is known that they are fond of Halfling. They hunt intelligently, organizing and managing their attack through a complex language of shrill whistles and clicks.
